About Academics

Identity Card

An identity card, with a passport size photograph and the residential address of the student, is issued. This identity card should be borne by each student in school premises all the time.

School Uniform

Summer (Boys) : White shirt, dark brown (coffee colour) half pants/trousers, brown socks and black school shoes.

(Girls) : White blouse, dark brown (coffee colour) tunic / pleated skirt, brown socks and black ‘ballet’ shoes.

Winter : Plain knit, V-neck wooler, pull over of maroon colour for all.

P.T. Dress : White half sleeved shirt and white half pants (for boys) / skirt (for girls) white canvas P.T. shoes and white socks.

Head Dress : White hair bands and maroon scarves (in winter) for girls. Sikh boys can wear white Patka.

Belt : The school belt is an essential part of the student's uniform. The belt will be provided by the School.

Session

The School Session is from 1st April to 31st March.

Registration

1. Prospectus & registration forms for admission to the school, can be obtained from the school office on cash payment.

2. The forms should be duly filled and submitted with the required documents and certificates as mentioned in the form by the stipulated date.

Test / Interview

1. The registered candidates are called for an admission test / interview.

2. For admission to different classes, test are conducted as per the syllabus of the last class passed.

3. No written or oral test for admission in LKG. Random selection procedure is taken up.

Admission

1. 25% seats are reserved for talented weaker sections of the society in new admissions only.

2. The birth certificate obtained from a competent authority and the transfer certificate obtained from the previous school, are necessary for admission.

3. Fees have to be deposited within seven days of selection, failing which the seat will be allotted to the next waiting candidate.

Morning Assembly

Each working day in starts with the morning assembly marked with the recitation of Vedic Mantras, Devotional Songs and Shanti Path. Students deliver rhymes, speech, news and thought for the day from the dias during Assembly. The assembly disperses with singing of the National Anthem.

Academics

School implements the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) and other educational reforms designed and incorporated by CBSE to fulfill the objectives of Formative and Summative Evaluation.

Grades

91-100 = A1 81-90- = A2 71-80 = B1

61-70 = B2; 51-60 = C1 41-50 = C2

33-40 = D; 21-32 = E1; 00-20 = E2

To be promoted to the next class, minimum of D grade in all subjects and 75% of attendance is necessary.

Parent-Teacher Meeting

In order to establish a meaningful relationship between the school and the parents, meetings are held after every test/evaluation to discuss the progress of each and every student and accordingly Special and remedial classes are arranged.

Attendance

1. 75% attendance is essential for promotion to the next higher class.

2. No leave will be granted except on prior application to the principal.

3. In case of illness, medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner has to be submitted.

4. Repeated absence without leave or unexplained leave for six consecutive days renders the student liable to have his name struck of the rolls.

5. It is compulsory for a student to attend the school on the day before and the day after the summer vacation, the Puja vacation and the winter vacation.

Personal File

The school maintains an individual file for each of its pupils in order to have a systematic record of his/her academic as well as co-curricular progress and achievements. The profile is maintained and updated systematically fulfilling the instructions given in the scheme of CCE.
